I prepared this blog entry last night as the first flakes of snow were flying here in Littleton.  Thinking back to this session with a really fantastic high school senior helped take my mind away from the Wintry weather. We had such a warm September evening and some great images. It was hard to choose for the blog!

Here’s a snapshot from a favorite Summer session with these 4 sisters. This is my third session with this family. I last photographed the girls when the youngest one was born and it here we were at the 6 month milestone. Time flies! I’ve got the feeling these sisters are going to have tons of fun together. Some  great prints and a lovely coffee table book as a memory from the evening are now ready.

I met this couple for a session recently. They were really fun to photograph. They did a fantastic job of being relaxed, were very open to my guidance and  most importantly did a great job of creating their own moments. I really was spoiled for choice when preparing the gallery with a nice mix of both classic and modern candid images. On now to preparing some standout prints for their new home!

Well at least I hope it will….

Here’s some fun and sun in the dandelion fields 8 days ago. After that the ball of yellow we all like to see here in MA when Spring comes, disappeared. I was grateful to at least get one of my outdoor sessions in ( more on that later) before we were treated to one long week of rain. Ah well, it’s nothing compared to a rainy stretch in the UK.

We had a temperature near zero at the time of this session and had to wrap up in coats and scarves in between shots but it was well worth it. Im starting to really like early Winter outdoor light. This was a fun shoot with a great family. After the session it was their main mission to find a cafe for a very hot drink. Hope their mission was accomplished!

I really enjoyed this recent family session. Very late Fall or Winter scenery can really make for some super portraits.  This family had to contend with a rather chilly end to the day ( the photgraphers were cold too) but it was well worth it. I love the light we got for the final part of the session.

Here’s two from another recent late season mini session. It was cold but fun.  I think we all put our coats on ( trying to keep warm) and took them off (trying to take photographs) about twenty times whilst we were out shooting the portraits!

The Studio and an outdoor setting was used for this recent high school senior session. It was a very enjoyable shoot!

We had a chilly afternoon for this shoot.  The shades of brown nutmeg and cinammon we now see all around is natures way of saying that the curtain is coming down on Autumn. These two kids were just wonderful and this was a gem of a session! As darkness was falling I spotted one last pool of light on some freshly fallen yellow leaves on the way back to the car. Despite being cold, the children were gracious enough to try a few last shots in the fading light. It was well worth giving it a go! This is going to be a gorgeous gallery. 

Outdoor sessions will still be offered on week by week basis, depending on the weather. Due to the time change mini sessions are more appropriate for children on weekdays.

Here’s a toddler from a recent session enjoying the Fall, leaves and all! She was a real little sweetie and we have some very nice images from the session.
