The
Photographer
Jane McDonagh has a background in Art, she
has degrees in the
History of Art and Education from the University of Manchester
in
England. She has expressed her artistic training and creativity through
the medium of photography for a number of years and has embraced
the recent technological advances that have transformed this field.
Jane is
originally from England but has enjoyed living here in the US for
the last 12 years. She has had her images recognized in a
number of competitions and has been featured by Kodak on
their website and
Times Square gallery.
Jane offers
customized portraits on location or at a client’s home using
natural light. She
likes to explore a variety of portrait styles and
recognizes that some of the most memorable images are found in
everyday moments, small details and
less obvious themes - the scraped
knee, the lost tooth, children not
dressed in their Sunday best and
shared laughter.
Jane works
completely in digital format and does all her post processing
work for both the proofs and the print preparation in order to ensure
the most artistic interpretation of the images. Her extensive digital
darkroom work for a client may include individualized black and white
and sepia conversions, color balancing, cropping and archiving. A wide variety of print sizes, canvases and
storyboards are available, printed
on archival quality paper to the highest standards by a professional
print lab.
